I've taught when you should be posting on Twitter.

I've even taught you on when you should be posting on Facebook but when should you be posting on LinkedIn?

Hey everyone, I'm Neil Patel, and today I'm going to share with you when you should be posting on LinkedIn.

LinkedIn's a B2B social network. It's not like Facebook.

People aren't there chilling late at night or early in the mornings. Sure they could be, but it's rare.

Because it's a B2B social network, you're going to find most people on LinkedIn between nine to five.

Those are regular working hours and sure; it's going to be different if you're based in New York or Los Angeles because nine to five in Los Angeles is different than nine to five in New York because of one's Pacific Standard Time and one's Eastern Standard Time.

Once you've figured where most of your connections are, let's say they're East Coast, then you know you should be posting between nine and five during working hours Eastern Standard Time.

It is that simple. So, one, look at where your followers are from.

Once you figure that out, too, post during their nine-to-five time range and three, test posting a few hours before nine to five.

What I found to be effective is posting at seven or eight or six is because that's right when people come to work, so when they log into LinkedIn, your post is one of the first things that they see.

Now that you got that down, one last tip that I have for you when it comes to driving traffic from LinkedIn make sure you only post the first few paragraphs of your blog post assuming you're promoting your blog on LinkedIn and then put a click to continue reading the link.

By doing that, you're going to get five to 10 X of traffic from LinkedIn versus if you didn't do that.
