Facebook is the most popular social network on the web. According to Alexa.com it is the third most popular site in the world.

If you want to build a personal brand, you should follow these steps:

1. Post daily on Facebook - The content you post (status updates, videos, pictures) should be related to the industry you want to brand yourself in.

For example, I want to be known as a marketer. So the content I post on Facebook is marketing related.

2. You need to engage within your community - When someone messages you, you need to read it and respond. When someone leaves a comment, you need to respond.

There are also groups and fan pages within your niche... make sure you participate on those as well. Comment, respond and engage.

3. Leverage live videos - Facebook puts a lot of emphasis on live videos. It is their version of reality tv.

Consider going live on Facebook at least once a week because it will be seen by more people compared to just posting status updates.

Follow those three things and you will build a strong personal brand using Facebook.
