Android tutorial (2018) - 43 - Introduction to Android Notifications

In this video we are going to learn about how a notification appear on android device. When the notification issued fort it appear as a small icon on the status bar. If the device is unlocked and running on android version 5.0 or above, then the notification may appear as Head Up notification based on notification priority.

For Android version 8.0 and above we need a notification channel for displaying issuing a notification. In 8.0 and above notification can appear as notification badge or notification dot on the launcher icons.
