Pamela Hart teaches public speaking and presentation skills in SFU Continuing Studies' nine-week Public Relations Program.
She also teaches PR for not-for-profit organizations.
"That's an exciting course because we actually work with a not-for-profit to create a public relations program for them, or to help them achieve their goals," Hart said.
"For example, we worked with West Coast Leaf, which is a great organization and not-for-profit here in town that wouldn't really have the funds to create a campaign or to fulfill a campaign," said Hart. "But using the students, we were actually able to create a PSA—a public service announcement—that is now showing in local theatres throughout Vancouver, and that's pretty exciting."
Hart is the founder of Release Your Voice, a communications, presentation and PR firm in Vancouver.
