ساكي مافونديكوا: البراعة والأناقة في الحروف الهجائية الأفريقية القديمة

من حروف أبجدية بسيطة للغات رمزية سرية. المصمم الجرافيكي (ساكي مافونديكوا) يحتفل بالأشكال العديدة للتواصل الكتابي عبر قارة أفريقيا. قام بتسليط الضوء على التاريخ و التراث الذي يتجسد في الكلمات والرموز المكتوبة. و يحث المصمّمين الأفارقة على الإستفادة من هذه الأشكال الجرافيكية لتكون مصدر إلهام جديد لهم. لخّصها جميعاً في المفضلة لديه (القاليف الغانية) و (السانكوفا) و التي تعني (عُد و أحصل عليه) ... أو التعلم من الماضي.

He highlights the history and legacy that are embodied in written words and symbols, and urges African designers to draw on these graphic forms for fresh inspiration. It's summed up in his favorite Ghanaian glyph, Sankofa, which means "return and get it" -- or "learn from the past."
