How to sketch graphs for functions of two variables. Chris Tisdell UNSW

This video is a gentle introduction to functions of several variables. We motivate the topic and show how to sketch simple surfaces associated with functions of two variables. The methods involve: level curves; contour curves; and sections.
A range of examples are presented to illustrate the ideas which are seen in 1st and 2nd year university mathematics.
