What happens beside disappointment when you discover you are not the chosen candidate?

Here are a few steps to help you end well and stay open to new opportunities:

1. Send a thank you note (or email) thanking them for the opportunity.

2. Reach out again about one month later. Send them a link to an industry article that would be valuable to them.

3. Send another note and industry article one to two months later.

You never know when another, maybe even better, opportunity may become available. You always want to stay positive and professional. Listen for more insights.
