Welcome friends to Trending Tresses official blog! Every week I search the internet to find what is happening in the world of celebrity style: the good, the bad and the ugly. It makes me very excited to keep you in the "know" for the ever changing hair styles. This week we have the looks from the AMA's to check out as well as Beyonce and Jessica Alba have been showing off blonder locks.

I have to say the thing I look forward to most about any award show has to be the looks from the red carpet. I know Katy Perry's big bouncy curls tends to be a classic look for her but i just love it. It has great body and volume but still looks soft and touchable. Who wouldn't want that? Taylor Swift's tousled waves grabbed quite a bit of attention. Many are saying T.Swift's look at the AMA's was more grown up and sexy compared to her previous looks. However I think her curls have continuously shifted over the years and has shown her gracefully grow up. Overall I am pretty envious of her curls and waves.

Rihanna's and J.Lo's hair had me questioning what was intention their stylists had in mind. Rihanna's wrapped style included bobby pins out in the open for everyone to see! It gave me a flashback to hair school when we learned how to flat wrap hair. Maybe her stylist forgot to finish her look? Needless to say we have seen better from Rihanna. J.Lo has often sported a slicked back pony tail over the years, but this one had so much volume it actually reminded me of a clydesdale.

Fantasy colors almost always makes me happy. We talked about Ke$ha's two toned pastel look on Splitting Hairs a couple weeks ago which I loved then, however now her dark re-growth just give it a dirty look. Lil' Mama's bright green bob was a bold choice, it kind of reminds me of a super hero.....I like it. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Bonnie McKee's fiery orange to sorbet ombre. I want it for myself and I don't think there is anything else i can add to it.

Bangs for Kylie Jenner? Not quite, Kylie took a page out of her sister Kim K.'s book by clipping in some bangs for the AMA's. I really liked it! I hope she commits to the style and actually cuts her hair.

More blondes are popping up everywhere! After a few hair changes over the last couple months Beyonce is back to her long locks. But instead of the usual honey blonde she opted for a much brighter look thats almost platinum. I am pretty sure though that Beyonce is never spotted without great hair. Jessica Alba's color transformation has a more natural honey blonde with a darker root which looks great on her. However the blonde locks are due to a roll in a upcoming film Barely Lethal. So we will see how long it lasts!

Finally because I know you all were very worried Miley Cyrus has dyed her eyebrows back! I think she heard Splitting Hairs and took our advice....

Well thats it for now. Stay tuned for more from Trending Tresses and make sure you listen to Splitting Hairs on iTunes!
